AudiA3 2.0 140bhp TDI - Reliable TDI? - nick74. An A3 2.0 TDI PD will very likely have the BKD engine which doesn't suffer from the oil pump drive problem. Hedid tell me that the 1.9 engine in the above were somewhat bullet proof and extremely easy to work on,but he has a hell of a lot of 2.0 tdi VW and Audi cars in with engine problems on a regular basis. Take that with a pinch of salt, but I did buy a 1.9.
