Huawei has gone all-out sneaky on the strap. Buy the black Huawei Watch GT and you get a conventional silicone strap. Our tan one is far odder, though. It’s leather on the top, silicone rubber inside. It won’t absorb all that nasty-ass sweat when you go running, but looks a fair bit classier than a Garmin Fenix 5.
The similarities with the Huawei Watch GT 4 continue in the physical design, with the exception of the Ultimate mode button on the left-hand side. 410 x 502px, Always-On Retina LTPO OLED
Huawei has now confirmed that EMUI 9.0 is rolling out to seven more devices with the Huawei Watch GT also receiving an important Always on Display update of its own.
The GT Classic has one of the more accurate step counters we have seen, usually only deviating from a true manual count of our steps on a mile-long walk by 10 or fewer steps. It also matched up very well with our chest strap heart rate monitor with resting heart rates, usually within 5 bpm. The Watch GT tracks steps accurately.
Wareable. The screen on the Watch 4 is gorgeous, like most Huawei wearables. It’s a huge 1.5-inch AMOLED LTPO display, with a 466 x 466 resolution, and there’s not much out there that bests it
