Disable your antivirus. Download the “the sims 2 ultimate collections” from. Once you have downloaded the complete collection, extract all the files and save them to your folder. Open the folder named “game files.”. Double click on the setup.exe file. Click on ‘install’ and then wait until your game gets installed.
Download the original game and all expansion and stuff packs of The Sims 2 for Windows in 2014. Follow the instructions to install the game and enjoy the simulation game with new features and graphics options.

Basically it is starting and I am hearing music, but I get a black screen. I assume it is not using the graphics card correctly.
I followed the instructions in the General Support section of the wiki as you suggested and removed the TM from the registry and now all the the Neighbourhoods are displaying. Also confirming that the Documents folder in the OneDrive is where the normal EA Games/The Sims 2 UC folder is created and so I simply removed the TM from my saved EA

Download it, and after you fully installed The Sims 2 - Origin Ultimate Collection, extract with WinRAR double-click on the file "4gb_patch.exe". When prompted, navigate under where you installed the game to, and then under Fun with Pets -> SP9 -> TSBin. Choose the Sims2EP9.exe and wait for the message "executable successfully patched".
