Hi everyone, I’m a new user of Audacity. I use DSS/DS2 and WAV sound files and I want to be able to delete the first 3 seconds of each file before I use them. How can I do this? Further, I want to be able to save them as they were originally, i.e. as WAV or DSS/DS2 files. If not possible at least MP3? Does anyone know a solution to this? To convert your WAV files to a format which Asterisk can understand, use the following command: sox foo-in.wav -r 8000 -c 1 -s -w foo-out.wav resample -ql. Note that sox v14.3.0 and above (installed in Ubuntu 9.10), resample is no longer used, remix is used or leave it as: sox foo-in.wav -r 8k -c 1 -s -w foo-out.wav.
