41 look better but I would pick 45 anyway for a better user experience unless it make you feel uncomfortable on your wrist. I had in the same situation and finally I chose S7 41mm (165 mm wrist). I think that was the best option, the 45mm looks huge in my wrist. In my opinion, the 41mm looks better in your wrist.

If you think the 40mm fits better on your wrist, I'd go with that. I've never once thought that my 40mm is "too small" or doesn't display enough content. I've seen a lot of photos of thin-wristed people that got the 44mm and it looks like an iPad on the wrist or something. IMO not a good look.
Oh yea, damn even the 40mm would be too big. Your "ideal" watch size is 28mm to 35mm. However, I should add an important disclaimer: These forums are all for traditional timepieces that tend to have a round sizing while the Apple Watch is measured from top to bottom.
